Hybrid Composition 2

Inspired by radiant visions of light and wavelength colours, each piece in the Hybrid series is a beautiful exploration of colour, shape and texture.

Composition 02 combines matte and glossy textures, alongside muted hues and pops of bright colour. Using hand-throwing, hand-building and several glazing techniques, every piece is unique and crafted with extreme care in Roxy Lee's London studio using stoneware and porcelain.

Each characterful handle is shaped by hand individually. The shape is completed during two rounds of firing, before being hand-painted in multiple colours with matte and glossy segments, reflecting the surrounding light differently.

Roxy Lee, the founder of The Status Of Zero is a London-based creative who has a deep passion for combining art and craft. Under the name ‘the status of zero’, she keeps experimenting and exploring the possibilities of clay.
